We have an unusually high proportion of qualified staff for a small solicitors firm
in our specialist field of work. In this sense we are quite unlike most of our larger
competitors. We continue to hold on to what is perhaps a naïve belief that our
clients would like to have their cases conducted by, or supervised by, lawyers with
real experience
both of life and of the law. This is not an orthodox view.
Perhaps orthodoxy is over-valued.
Terry Baldwin is a senior solicitor who is a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel.
He has been a member since shortly after it the Panel was set up in
the mid 1990s. Terry published a textbook called Road Accident Compensation in 1996.
Paul Haddon is an accredited senior litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, an accreditation that he has held for the last five years although given the extent of his experience (going back fifteen years +) he ought to have earned this badge some years earlier!
Nina Vasani worked for ten years in the City of London before moving her career into Luton. Nina specialises in employers liability claims and public liability claims.
Niche Insurance Defendant Work
Although our specialism is in what the legal professional calls Claimant Personal Injury work, we also have developed a niche working with large motor fleets who in today's climate need to manage their own "fault" accidents more effectively than the conglomerate motor insurers.
Handling claims brought against the driver's of large car/van fleets inevitably helps us to take a balanced view towards the notoriously exploitative aspects of the motor insurance claims culture.
Commercial Disputes and Debt
In addition to our main specialism, we also deal with a number of usually highly contentious commercial and debt disputes. John Holtom, who also specialises in high value and serious accident claims, deals with most of the commercial dispute and debt cases.
